Lead Hand Mitigation Technician

Reports To

Summary
The Lead Hand - Mitigation Technician shall be responsible for completing the activities assigned by the Project Managers. The Mitigation Technician will work alongside Cleaning Technicians, Content Processing Technicians and Restoration Technicians. The Mitigation Technician shall ensure that their production schedules are completed on time, and within budgeted timeframes.

Job Duties
  • Direct and coordinate the activities of all drying projects as needed.
  • Determine Category and Class of all water losses.
  • Measure moisture readings including but not limited to Relative Humidity, Moisture Content and GPP (grains per pound).
  • Verify when the job is dry and remove equipment as required.
  • Prepare and upload drying reports in RMS and Xactanalysis as needed.
  • Work with other supervisors to coordinate operations and activities within and between departments.
  • Ability to identify ACM (Asbestos Containing Materials) and to prepare testing request documentation.
  • Work with other supervisors to coordinate operations and activities within and between departments to create efficiency.
  • Documenting site status by taking before and after photos in Encircle daily on every site.
  • Ability to work individually as well as part of a team.
Requirements
  • High school diploma, GED or equivalent.
  • Valid Drivers License.
  • IICRC (Water Restoration) WRT and (Applied Structural Drying) ASD are beneficial.
  • 3 years experience as a Mitigation or Restoration Technician is recommended.
  • Knowledge of supplies, equipment, and/or services ordering, as well as inventory control of these items.
  • Strong knowledge of RMS, Xactanalysis, Encircle.
  • Superior telephone manners and strong interpersonal skills.
  • Strong written and verbal skills to communicate with all levels of the Management team.
  • Strong customer service orientation.
  • First Aid skills and/or certificates are considered assets.
 
Work Conditions
  • Able to lift at least 50 lbs.
  • Exposure to hazards associated with the industry/trade.
  • Extended periods of standing, and other physically demanding conditions.
  • Operation and use of necessary tools, machinery, or equipment.
  • Use of required personal protective equipment.
  • Manual dexterity required to use desktop computer and peripherals.
  • Overtime as required.
  • Mandatory on call obligations.
 
 
Compensation: $18.00 - $23.00 per hour
