At Paul Davis Restoration, we don’t just restore properties, we restore lives. We’re looking for a recent graduate or early-career Accounting Specialist who is strong in Excel, understands the fundamentals of debits and credits, and is excited to learn in a hands-on, fast-paced environment.
This is not a narrow, entry-level role where you’re stuck doing one task. You’ll gain exposure across multiple areas of accounting and have the opportunity to build real-world skills quickly.
What You’ll Do
- Assist with account reconciliations and balance sheet support
- Maintain and review General Ledger (GL) activity
- Build and update Excel reports (a key part of this role)
- Support month-end close, including journal entries and accruals
- Help with job costing, commissions, and payroll-related entries
- Review transactions for accuracy across systems
- Identify discrepancies and help resolve issues
What You Bring
- Strong Excel skills (formulas, lookups, organizing data)
- Understanding of basic accounting principles (debits, credits)
- High attention to detail and willingness to learn
- Strong work ethic and ability to manage multiple tasks
- Comfortable in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment
Qualifications
- Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Accounting (or related field)
- Internship or 0–2 years of accounting experience preferred
- Exposure to accounting software (QuickBooks or similar) is a plus
