Position Summary
The Emergency Services/Mitigation Manager is responsible for leading all emergency response and property mitigation operations related to water, fire, mold, storm, and other property damage losses. This role oversees mitigation projects from initial loss through completion, ensuring exceptional customer service, operational efficiency, team performance, and profitability. The Emergency Services/Mitigation Manager serves as a key leader within the organization, managing field personnel, customer relationships, insurance communications, and departmental performance.

Essential Responsibilities
Emergency Response & Project Management
  •  Respond to emergency property damage situations and ensure rapid deployment of mitigation resources. 
  •  Conduct property inspections and damage assessments. 
  •  Develop and implement mitigation and drying plans. 
  •  Manage mitigation projects from initial loss through completion. 
  •  Monitor project progress, timelines, quality standards, and customer satisfaction. 
  •  Ensure compliance with industry standards, company procedures, and safety regulations.
Team Leadership & Development
  •  Recruit, train, mentor, and supervise mitigation technicians and team leads. 
  •  Manage employee performance, accountability, and professional development. 
  •  Coordinate staffing, scheduling, and on-call rotations. 
  •  Foster a culture of teamwork, safety, urgency, and customer service excellence.
Customer & Insurance Relations
  •  Serve as the primary point of contact for customers throughout the mitigation process. 
  •  Communicate project expectations, updates, and timelines. 
  •  Build and maintain positive relationships with insurance adjusters, agents, and referral partners. 
  •  Resolve customer concerns professionally and promptly.
Documentation & Compliance
  •  Ensure accurate and timely documentation of all mitigation activities. 
  •  Review moisture readings, drying logs, photos, and job notes. 
  •  Maintain complete and compliant job files. 
  •  Utilize company software systems to track project progress and performance.
Financial & Operational Performance
  •  Manage departmental budgets, labor costs, equipment utilization, and materials. 
  •  Review estimates, invoices, and project profitability. 
  •  Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) and implement strategies for continuous improvement. 
  •  Drive revenue growth while maintaining operational efficiency and quality standards.
Qualifications
  •  Previous experience in restoration, mitigation, construction, or related field management. 
  •  Strong leadership and team management skills. 
  •  Knowledge of water, fire, mold, and storm damage restoration processes. 
  •  Excellent communication, customer service, and conflict resolution abilities. 
  •  Experience working with insurance claims and restoration estimating platforms preferred. 
  •  Ability to manage multiple projects in a fast-paced environment. 
  •  Valid driver's license and insurable driving record.
 Preferred Certifications
  •  IICRC Water Damage Restoration Technician (WRT) 
  •  Applied Structural Drying (ASD) 
  •  Applied Microbial Remediation Technician (AMRT) 
  •  Fire & Smoke Restoration Technician (FSRT)

Success in this position is measured by response times, customer satisfaction, team performance, documentation accuracy, project profitability, and the overall growth and effectiveness of the Emergency Services Department.
