Join the Paul Davis Ottawa & Lanark Team – Crew Chief

Reports To: Mitigation Manager
Location: Ottawa, ON

Paul Davis Ottawa & Lanark is looking for an experienced Crew Chief to join our emergency restoration team.

As a Crew Chief, you’ll lead emergency restoration crews responding to water, fire, mold, and other property losses across residential and commercial properties. You’ll set the standard for safety, quality, customer service, and job-site performance while helping customers recover when they need us most.

What You’ll Do

  • Lead emergency restoration crews and coordinate day-to-day job-site activities.
  • Respond to water, fire, mold, and other emergency losses.
  • Serve as a key point of contact for customers throughout the mitigation process.
  • Train, mentor, and support technicians and crew members.
  • Ensure work meets company, industry, safety, and IICRC standards.
  • Complete equipment setup, monitoring, debris removal, site preparation, and other hands-on mitigation work.
  • Maintain equipment, vehicles, inventory, and job-site cleanliness.
  • Document work accurately and communicate job progress to management.
  • Help ensure projects are completed safely, efficiently, and with an exceptional customer experience.
What We’re Looking For

  • 2–3+ years of restoration/mitigation experience.
  • Minimum 2 IICRC certifications or equivalent industry experience with a willingness to obtain additional certifications.
  • Previous leadership or crew-management experience.
  • Strong knowledge of restoration equipment, drying processes, and emergency mitigation.
  • Excellent communication, organization, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to lead and remain calm in fast-paced emergency situations.
  • Valid Ontario G-Class Driver’s Licence with a clean driving record.
  • Ability to lift up to 75 lbs and perform physically demanding work.
  • Flexibility to participate in on-call and emergency response rotations.

  • Water Restoration Technician (WRT)
  • Applied Structural Drying (ASD)
  • Fire & Smoke Restoration Technician (FSRT)
  • Applied Microbial Remediation Technician (AMRT)
  • Asbestos Worker/Supervisor
