Reports To: Owner
Paul Davis Restoration is a small, veteran owned, and growing restoration company looking for an experienced restoration professional ready to take the next step into management.

This is an opportunity for a strong Senior Technician, Crew Chief, Lead Technician, Mitigation Supervisor, or Assistant Manager who knows how to run mitigation jobs and crews and is ready to take ownership of a department.

This is initially a working manager role. You will inspect losses, develop scopes, direct crews, manage projects, and work alongside the team when needed. As the department grows, the goal is for you to develop the people and systems underneath you so your role increasingly shifts from doing the work to leading the operation.

Key Responsibilities

·         Respond to and inspect water, fire, mold, and other mitigation losses
·         Develop mitigation scopes and clear game plans for field crews
·         Assign and direct technicians based on job requirements and workload
·         Lead and work alongside crews when production demands it
·         Manage multiple active projects from initial response through completion
·         Monitor drying projects and make adjustments based on conditions and documentation
·         Ensure jobs are completed safely, efficiently, and to company and IICRC standards
·         Train, coach, and develop technicians into stronger technicians and future crew leads
·         Hold team members accountable for quality, productivity, safety, documentation, and professionalism
·         Ensure photos, moisture readings, daily notes, equipment usage, and job documentation are complete and accurate
·         Monitor labor, equipment, materials, and overall job performance
·         Identify job issues early and take ownership of resolving them
·         Communicate clearly with homeowners, property managers, adjusters, and other stakeholders throughout the restoration process
·         Explain the mitigation plan, expected timeline, and next steps in a way customers can understand
·         Set realistic expectations and proactively communicate changes or delays
·         Handle customer concerns and difficult conversations professionally
·         Ensure jobsites are clean, organized, and treated with respect
·         Help create an excellent customer experience during what is often a stressful event
·         Assist with hiring, onboarding, and evaluating mitigation team members
·         Participate in emergency and after-hours response as needed

Who We’re Looking For

We are not necessarily looking for someone who has already managed a large mitigation department.

The right person may currently be a:
Senior Technician • Crew Chief • Lead Technician • Mitigation Supervisor • Assistant Mitigation Manager
You have likely spent the last several years becoming very good at running restoration jobs and leading people in the field but haven’t yet been given the opportunity to take the next step into management.

You may be ready for this role if:

·         Other technicians already look to you for direction
·         You can walk into a loss and develop a sound mitigation plan
·         You are comfortable leading a crew and holding people accountable
·         You can manage multiple jobs instead of focusing only on the job in front of you
·         You enjoy teaching and developing less-experienced technicians
·         You communicate well with customers and can handle difficult situations professionally
·         You take ownership when something goes wrong instead of waiting for someone else to solve it
·         You want the opportunity to help build a team and eventually lead a department

We are looking for someone who has proven they can run the work and is ready for the opportunity to lead the operation.

Experience & Qualifications

·         3+ years of restoration/mitigation experience preferred
·         Experience leading technicians or crews
·         Strong knowledge of water mitigation and structural drying
·         Experience with fire and mold remediation preferred
·         IICRC WRT certification preferred
·         ASD or additional IICRC certifications are a plus
·         Strong communication and customer-service skills
·         Ability to manage multiple jobs and priorities
·         Comfortable making decisions and holding people accountable
·         Valid driver’s license and acceptable driving record

More than anything, we’re looking for leadership potential, good judgment, accountability, and the desire to build a team.

Growth Opportunity

We are building this operation, not maintaining a finished one.

Initially, the Mitigation Manager will spend significant time working alongside the team. As we add technicians, crew leads, vehicles, and volume, the role will increasingly shift toward managing the department.

The progression is simple:

Run the work → Lead the crews → Develop crew leaders → Manage the department

The person who succeeds in this position will have the opportunity to build the mitigation operation underneath them and take on increasingly significant leadership responsibility as the company grows.

Compensation

·         Base Salary: $65,000–$75,000 depending on experience
·         Performance Incentive: $10,000–$15,000 target annual opportunity
·         Paid time off
·         Company vehicle/vehicle access as appropriate
·         Training and continuing education
·         Opportunity for advancement as the operation grows

Performance incentives will be tied to the overall health and performance of the mitigation department, including areas such as production, profitability, documentation, customer experience, and team development.
Compensation: $65,000.00 - $75,000.00 per year
