Paul Davis Restoration of Northern VA embraces diversity and equal opportunity in a serious way. We are committed to building a team that represents a variety of backgrounds, perspectives, and skills. The more inclusive we are, the better our work will be. We pride ourselves on operational excellence, a people-first culture, and staying ahead of the industry curve by embracing cutting-edge technology.

Purpose of the Role
As the Mitigation Division Manager, you are more than a coordinator—you are a visionary leader, an elite problem solver, and a strategic partner. You will guide a team to help property owners and adjusters through the recovery process after traumatic events like fires or floods.
In this role, you will build, coach, and grow a high-performing field team while managing the entire lifecycle of a project from sale to closure. We are looking for a trailblazer who has a passion for being the absolute best at what they do, possesses elite conflict-management skills, and is excited to leverage modern technology—including Artificial Intelligence (AI)—to optimize efficiency and drive success.

Key Responsibilities
  • Team Leadership & Growth: Recruit, train, coach, and scale a world-class emergency services team. Foster a culture of excellence, high accountability, and continuous development.
  • Operational Excellence: Manage and delegate the launch, execution, and profitable completion of emergency water mitigation, contents, and environmental projects.
  • Cross-Department Collaboration: Partner seamlessly with estimating, reconstruction, and administrative departments to ensure fluid communication and collective success.
  • Conflict Resolution & Communication: Act as the primary point of resolution for complex situations involving carriers, property owners, vendors, and tradesmen. Turn high-stress challenges into positive outcomes.
  • Stakeholder Management: Communicate and negotiate confidently with insurance carriers, local adjusters, desk adjusters, and program specialists.
  • Tech Innovation: Maximize the use of multiple restoration technology platforms and actively embrace AI tools to streamline documentation, scheduling, and project tracking.
  • Safety & Quality Control: Monitor job sites to enforce strict safety compliance, ensure premium quality control, and identify real-time training opportunities.
  • Values Alignment: Live and breathe the Paul Davis Values, Vision, Mission, and 10 Serving Basics.
Qualifications & Experience
  • Proven Management Experience: Demonstrated success building, leading, and motivating a team in a fast-paced environment.
  • Restoration Expertise: Deep knowledge of the restoration industry, with hands-on experience managing mitigation, contents, and environmental cleaning projects.
  • Elite Soft Skills: Exceptional interpersonal skills, strong emotional intelligence, and a proven track record of resolving conflicts under pressure.
  • Tech-Forward Mindset: High comfort level navigating multiple software platforms simultaneously. A genuine excitement for how Artificial Intelligence can optimize workflows and improve accuracy.
  • Estimating Software: Proficiency in Xactimate and Symbility estimating software.
  • Core Competencies: Advanced critical thinking, critical problem-solving skills, and expert-level organization. Strong competency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook).
  • Communication: Succinct, professional, and empathetic verbal and written communication.
Benefits & Compensation
  • Competitive Compensation: $75,000 – $90,000 base salary, plus performance-driven bonuses tied directly to the water mitigation team's ROI. Realistically, total compensation is expected to exceed $120,000+ for high performers.
  • Financial Security: 401(K) plan with company match after 1 year.
  • Health & Wellness: Comprehensive health, dental, and vision insurance.
  • Work-Life Balance: Paid holidays, sick days, and vacation days.
  • Professional Growth: Industry certifications reimbursement program, alongside embedded training and rapid career advancement opportunities.
  • Company Culture: Vibrant, inclusive culture with regular, fun team-building events.
